What is Life Coaching?

Life Coaches are popping up everywhere. Just last night I tuned into Oprah’s Lifeclass on the OWN network, and Master Life Coach Tony Robbins was the guest speaker.  While Life Coaches are quite prevalent in areas like Arizona, California, Europe and Australia, it is still a profession that is widely unknown throughout most of the United States. (Maybe until now, thanks Oprah!)

Which begs the question, what do Life Coaches do?

Quite simply, Life Coaching is the process of bridging the gap from where you are to where you want to be.  It is a process of self-discovery and awakening.  Life Coaching assesses where you are, explores where you want to be, and provides the tools to bridge that gap and get you where you want to go.

Life Coaching builds a solid foundation for living out your dreams by stripping away old thoughts, ideas, beliefs and habits. You may not even realize it, but your inner thoughts could be tying you down and keeping you from creating space for fresh new perspectives aligned with your goals.  After all, the only difference between where you are and where you want to be is how you think and act. Our thoughts are strongly linked to our mood and our interactions with the people and world around us.  In life coaching, “Clearing Work” is the process of getting rid of our negative thoughts.  Clearing Work focuses on moving through fears and blocks that prevent us from continuing the journey on our path and manifesting our desires. Clearing Work is essential in leveraging the power of the universe in our favor. Are you holding onto any negative ideas or experiences? Your thoughts may have had a purpose at one point in your life, but are they serving you now, or are they holding you back? This type of energetic Clearing Work creates vast spaces within our lives to welcome in positive ideas and experiences and ultimately achieve our desired results.

Coaching addresses many areas within our lives: family, relationships, love, career, life purpose, health, wellness, finance, fun and recreation, etc.  Coaching is not about creating a new you, it’s about peeling back the outer layers to reveal the shiny you underneath.

Are you willing to get out of your own way, so you can get on your way?  Have you fallen in love with your life?  Do you shine brightly and unapologetically?
