5 quick ways to immediately boost your confidence. We all have moments of self-doubt and insecurity. When those moments fester and grow, when we feed them, we can create a pathway to low self-esteem that can take a crane to lift us out of. Here are five quick and powerful ways to boost your self-confidence and lift you out of a funk.

Having confidence is appreciating one’s own abilities and qualities. It’s important to have tools like these in our back pocket so we can live anchored in feeling empowered and confident.

1.Move your body. Get out and about, whether in nature, around town or at the gym. Moving the body allows change to take place at a molecular level, manifesting immediate change in your mental and physical state. Your feelings towards yourself naturally improve, as you know you are doing something good for you and that feels awesome.

2. Set a small easy to accomplish goal and do it. Taking action, even in small ways, allows the mind to get momentum going in a positive direction. This increases your sense of accomplishment and self-satisfaction, opening up pathways to taking more action. Start somewhere. The important key here is to start.

3. Look your best. When we take that extra effort to shower, do our hair and put on clothes we feel attractive in, we are showing ourselves and the world we care about ourselves enough to do these simple daily hygienic things. When we look good we feel good. This tells your subconscious you are worth feeling and looking good and presenting that version of yourself to the world. This isn’t about materialism or playing into societal pressures about physical beauty. This is simply about taking easy immediate steps to presenting yourself in a way that shows you value yourself and are worthy of being your best, even if you don’t feel it yet.

5. Be Kind. To yourself and to others. Doing something kind for someone when you are feeling down can bring immediate self-satisfaction and fulfillment. You are your biggest critic and fear is the loudest voice. Learning not to feed into the negative inner voice plants the seeds of positivity and kindness in your self-talk.  Water those seeds with self-compassion and they will naturally grow into a positive, encouraging and kind inner voice.
